Running for President is the professional name of songwriting & production duo, Jacob Ragusa and Jack Prager. They college roommates made their professional recording debut in 2021 with the single “Shades of Teal”. That record introduced a talented team with a lo-fi Midwest emo vibe.
Since their debut, the prolific pair have released seven singles and two EPs. Through their music, Jacob and Jack explore themes of anxiety, depression, and the complexities of life in a troubled world. Music offers an avenue of healing and connection.
“If Happiness was a Crime, Then I Would be a Law Abiding Citizen” is the current single from Running for President’s latest EP “What’s Gotten Into Jack Prager”, available worldwide via all major streaming services. A solo acoustic guitar opens the track as a lo-fi psychedelic electric guitar paints the edges of the mix. On the mic the singer offers a lonely and introspective soliloquy.
