Jolue Drops New Lo-fi Indie Emo Trap

jolue

Jolue is an emerging independent singer/songwriter from Virginia. He made his professional solo recording debut in 2022 with the single “transparent”. That track introduced a talented young artist with a deeply personal songwriting style and a genre-fluid sound.

In the six months since his debut, the prolific Jolue has released a total of seven singles. He cites Canadian indie hero Powfu as a major inspiration for his sound which mixes elements of rock, pop and trap for a unique lo-fi emo vibe. Although he just recently began releasing music, the singer explains that he waited years before sharing his songs with the public.

"I hated my voice over recording. I finally released my first single in August, my music and voice have been improving ever since and I hope to keep writing till I've reached major milestones."

“blame it on me” is the latest single from Jolue, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 1, 2023. As the song opens, a solo indie-pop guitar picks a melancholy chord progression. Soon the beat drops on a downtempo trap groove. On the mic the singer is joined by guest vocalist Esteleth for an emotional duet about a  quickly deteriorating toxic relationship.
