We first heard from Blacklight in June of last year upon the release of his single “Bring Me That Feeling“. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to emerging independent electronic dance music producer, songwriter, and performer Carl Davis. For the better part of the last decade, the Omaha, Nebraska native has been dropping EDM bangers and positive vibes.
Blacklight’s music is guided by Davis’ philosophy of PLUR (Peace Love Unity & Respect). That positive mindset of great grooves and uplifting moods directs all of the artist’s work. He even named his record label Plurred Vision Records. Since his 2014 debut, the prolific producer has released over six dozen tracks and has connected with hundreds of thousands of dance fans around the globe.

Blacklight is an eclectic producer who spins elements of house, techno, trance and other EDM styles into his own unique sound. On “Beautiful People ” he pairs classic 90’s dance grooves with modern production techniques and an infectious house beat. Soulful r&b and hip-hop vocal samples paint the edges of the mix as the hard-driving groove pushes the party forward.
