We first heard from Malachi Eastling in August of last year upon the release of his single “Contagious“. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to a globe-trotting singer/songwriter who recently settled in Iowa after playing his guitar from Wisconsin to Hawaii. His single “Daydreaming” followed in October.
Through all of his travels, Malachi Eastling wrote songs. Although he just made his recording debut last year, he has a deep catalog of tunes in the vault. Most have remained unpublished for years, until now. Since his debut, the prolific songwriter has released six singles and has hundreds more waiting in the wings.
“Voodoo Mood” is the latest single from Malachi Eastling, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 4, 2023. The song tells the story of a mind-altering temptress. Argentinian musicians Groove Willis (bass) and Bernardo Yacono (drums) accompany Malachi and his guitar as he weaves his tale of confusion and obsession over an acoustic dark pop groove.
