Swilly’s New Ode To Rock & Roll

swilly

Swilly is a Canadian/American quintet of veteran rockers who made their professional recording debut in 2017 with the album Play it Loud. That record introduced a group of fun-loving and hard-rocking musicians with a bawdy sense of humor and a down & dirty classic roots rock sound.  The band gets its moniker from the nickname of  front man singer/songwriter Steven Williams, who is joined by guitarist Kevin Campbell, bassist Doug Adair, drummer Carl Holz & occasional keyboard player Jason Long.

Since their debut, the prolific rockers have released five full-length albums and over fifty singles. They have connected with fans around the world with underground hits like last year’s “I Let the Devil In ” and “Welcome to the Show”. Citing the inspiration of bands like ZZ Top, The Cult, Nickelback and Theory of a Deadman, Swilly makes hard partying, good time rock & roll that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

“My Song” is the brand new single from Swilly, released worldwide via all major streaming services on February 20, 2023. Classic-rock inspired staccato piano arpeggios open the track before the beat drops and guitarist Kevin Campbell rips into some high-octane blues-fueled shredding. The hard-hitting band of virtuosos cranks it to eleven and never lets up. On the mic, Williams sings a rock & roll anthem, about rock & roll. It’s a great tune for any fan of classic AOR radio. And who isn’t?
