B.Bless is an emerging independent hip-hop artist who first picked up the mic professionally in 2018. In 2020 he dropped his solo debut EP “The Becoming”. That record introduced a Liberian-born and Chicago-based rapper, singer and songwriter who emigrated to the United States as a child to escape the First Liberian Civil War.
Since his debut, the prolific producer has followed with a dozen singles. In that time he has continued to develop his songwriting and producing chops and his own unique sound. The genre-fluid musician cites a wide-range of artists as inspiration. He pays homage to civil rights icons like Marcus Garvey and Martin Luther King, and to musical legends of all stripes, from jazz legend John Coltrane to hip-hop heroes like 50 Cent and 2 Pac.
“Good and Bad” is the brand new single from B.Bless, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 17, 2023. A gospel vocal and organ sample opens the track with a soulful vibe. Soon the beat drops on a downtempo 808 hip-hop beat. B.Bless steps to the mic with a hard freestyle as he alternates between an introspective spiritual monologue and hard drill rhymes.
