We first heard from MC Shep in February of last year. That’s when veteran singer, songwriter, rapper and producer Shep Eppinger introduced his new solo project. After decades of working with other artists he’s taken center stage with new music and a classic sound. His debut single “Super Shimmy Shuffle” pairs an iconic disco riff with his smooth lyrical flow.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Shep is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who has worked in a number of different genres. Over the years he has produced gospel, jazz, pop and R&B records for himself and others. Since his debut as MC Shep, the prolific producer has released a half dozen singles as well as the EP Love, Laugh and Dance.
“Text Sugardaddy” is the brand new single from MC Shep, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 17, 2023. Horns blast and introduce an electric piano-driven New Orleans-style blues groove. On the mic Shep sings and raps a freestyle about the benefits of a sugardaddy relationship, to all parties involved. It’s a fun, funny and funky jam.
