Juhan Ongbrian is an emerging independent guitarist, composer and producer. Originally from Indonesia, he has traveled the globe and found inspiration at every stop along the way. After studying guitar in Singapore as a teenager, he relocated to the United States to attend college in Seattle, Washington. There, his natural jazz and blues leanings were further colored by the city’s legendary music scene.
After college, Juhan Ongbrian moved to Los Angeles, California where he owns and operates a recording studio. His music continues to evolve with the influence of his adopted home city’s rich and deep cultural life. In 2019 he made his solo recording debut with the EP “Mood Swings”. He has followed with a string of successful subsequent singles.
“Changes’ ‘ is the brand new single from Juhan Ongbrian and LA-based multi-instrumentalist Shane Sato. The song was released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 23, 2023. A solo piano introduces the track before live bass and drums enter the mix and drop the beat on a mellow but funky syncopated downtempo jazz groove. At center stage, Juhan delivers a smooth and soulful performance on guitar, alternating between the song’s lilting main melody and some very tasteful and bluesy improvisation.
