Merchants of Disaster is a new international hard rock band making their professional recording debut in 2023. The group is the brainchild of American guitarist Zach Merchant. He formed the band after a chance encounter at a Colorado concert.
Ari Kamin is the frontman for original GnR drummer Steve Adler’s band. Zach was in the audience when they played in Denver and ran into the singer before he took the stage. The two struck up conversation which continued online in the weeks following the show. Before long the two were trading songs. Merchant then got in touch with old friends Ryan (Ryno) Osborn (bass), Mike Finucane (drums) and Rob Lundgren (Vocalist). A band was born.
“Devil in Disguise” is the debut single and video from Merchants of Disaster, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 17, 2023. Zach’s high-octane hard rock guitar riff pulses at the heart of the track as Ryno and Mike lay down a percussive heavy metal thunder. Ari Kamin kills it with a multi-octave rock howl and guest backing vocalist Rob Lundgren (Mentalist) literally brings the fire as they sing of the titular devilish lover.
