Koomunu Music is a brand new collaborative concept with the simple yet profound goals of bringing people together and inspiring goodness. Like-minded musicians, writers, videographers and fans have come together in hopes of cultivating a spirit of positivity and generosity. The project is the brainchild of artist and entrepreneur, Linoy Thomas.
Thomas says he created the project to infuse goodness into our troubled world. We all have good and bad within us. His new communal creative platform aims to bring the goodness in people to the surface. Koomunu gives the world a simple nudge in the right direction, hopefully with cascading effect.
“In This World” is the debut single from Koomunu Music, released worldwide via YouTube on March 28, 2023. The melancholy folk/pop soliloquy opens on a solo finger-picked acoustic guitar. A female vocalist steps the mic with a beautiful but heartbreaking report from a deep depression. The ensemble eventually expands to include ukulele, cello and backing vocals. As the song progresses the singer finds a light in the darkness as she connects with others.
