Habibi Bapo is an emerging independent singer, rapper and songwriter who made his solo professional recording debut in 2022 with the single “Forever A Fighter (#0)”. That track introduced a multi-talented artist with keen pop sensibilities, r&b soul, and a hip-hop aesthetic. Born in Beirut and raised in Philadelphia, the genre-bending musician sings and raps in both English and Arabic.
In less than a year since that first track, the prolific Habibi Bapo has released six singles, and has now dropped his debut EP. The talented 24 year-old cites groundbreaking artists like J. Cole, Deevy, A Boogie, The Weeknd, Post Malone and The Kid Laroi as inspiration for his eclectic sound. In his songs, the singer addresses topics of love, life, past traumas, and personal growth.

The six-song collection showcases the artist’s talents as a soulful singer, skilled emcee, and songwriter. From the clever indie-pop breakup bop “Friends With Benefits” to rock-infused trap of “Ana” and the Medi collab “Lies”, the record weaves multiple styles and genres into a cohesive whole.
On the catchy and clever “Make Love”, Habibi Bapo sings, “Love is a drug that I can’t keep my hands off.” Love and its many phases are recurring themes throughout the EP. “Mercedes” pairs a sultry slow jam mood with a mellow downtempo hip-hop groove. On “Who Knew” Bapo takes that vibe to the dance floor with a hypnotic deep house beat.
