Loskido is an emerging independent hip-hop artist who made his solo professional debut in 2022 with the single “Bag”. That track introduced a skilled rapper, singer, songwriter and entrepreneur on a mission to bring positive vibes back to hip-hop. His sound is a mix of old-school lyrical rap and modern beats.
He was born in Boston and raised in Brooklyn, New York. In his music Loskido tells tales of life, mental health issues, and the grind. Since his debut, the prolific emcee has produced three singles and two EPs.
“God to and Alpha ” is the brand new EP from Loskido, released worldwide via all major streaming services on April 7, 2023. He worked with producers Jimmy Dukes, Koov Lamar and audio engineer JtheDJ on the five-song set. The record showcases the rapper’s impressive mic skills, his taste for laid-back beats, and his overarching message of motivation and inspiration.
The EP opens with the soul vibes and downtempo boom-bap jam “More Than Ever”. On the track he rhymes about his dedication to the work, and making that money. It’s a theme that continues on the psychedelic trap of “No More.”
“Time Back” rolls on a classic West Coast P-funk groove. On the mic Loskido takes a nostalgic look back at his formative years in the hood. “Greed” follows and adds a bit of dark drama to the sound. The record closes with the Latin beat and chopping rhymes of the hypnotic “Save Me”. On the track Loskido delivers a powerful recount of his struggle to make it, and make it out.
