Tizzil – Revenge Of The Surf

tizzil

Tizzil is an emerging independent hip-hop artist who made his solo professional recording debut in 2016 with album The Omniscient. That record introduced a skilled emcee and lyricist from Fort Pierce, Florida. His sound is a unique mix of modern hip-hop grooves and old-school lyrical style.

Since his debut, the prolific rapper has released three full-length albums as well as a handful of singles. Working with producer XIV Tech (aka Jamie Rios), Tizzil has developed his own unique spin on trap as a genre. Fusing consciousness and funk, his latest album solidifies Tizzil’s distinct sound.

“Revenge of the Surf ” is the brand new album from Tizzil, released worldwide via all major streaming services on April 15, 2023. Throughout the fourteen-song set, the rapper delivers insightful observations and real-world anecdotes about surviving life in an unforgiving world. He pairs his tales with bangin’ downtempo beats.

From the minor-key mood and life-and-death struggle of “Resurrect” to the haunting synths of “Underestimate Me”, Tizzil drops smart rhymes over dark, hard-hitting beats. Drugs (“Dope on Dope”), love (“Need From Me”, “Running”), and gun violence (“Shooting in the Gym”) are all fair game. Meanwhile XIV Tech paints the periphery with classical piano, ambient synths and jazz guitars.

"I draw inspiration from hardships, my own and those I witness. The pains and pleasures of how I grew up accumulate in "Revenge Of The Surf"
