Santosha are an emerging independent rock band making their professional recording debut in 2023. Their sound blends elements of indie, emo, metal, and pop to create a layered alternative rock vibe. These genre-bending rockers from Lancaster, Pennsylvania formed the band in 2019 with a mission, “to create music that speaks on multiple different levels and to a variety of experiences.”
Founded by long-time friends Greg Gervasi (vocals, guitar) and Tyler Ruenroeng (guitar), Santosha also features Greg’s brother Matt Gervasi on bass, and Mike Rhodes behind the drums. Soon after they started the band, COVID happened. They used the unexpected downtime to write songs. Later this year they will release their first full-length album.
“Ghost of You ” is the debut single from Santosha, released worldwide via all major streaming services on April 28, 2023. A driving rhythm beats at the heart of this track. The rhythm section lays down a Rush-style syncopated groove of complex sub-rhythms and unexpected breaks. Ambient synths and arena-rock guitars expand across the soundscape as the singer delivers impeccable harmonies in this emo power-ballad torch-song.
