JYM LEE was the professional name of late singer, songwriter, and producer, Jimmy Lee Aguirre. Born and raised in New Braunfels/Seguin Texas, the young musician died by suicide in October of last year at the age of 20. The tragedy was the latest in a string of sorrows which had befallen the family, including the suicide death of Jimmy’s brother John-Michael two years earlier.
A lifelong music enthusiast, Lee turned to songwriting as a means of coping with his mental health issues. Prior to his passing, the singer had embarked on a promising career in music. He debuted in 2020 with three albums, “Stuck”, “Proof” and “Delusional Mix”. A string of singles followed.

As the track opens, ambient synths and a Hammond organ set a psychedelic scene over a laid-back 808 beat. A downtempo emo-trap slow-jam groove with deep R&B vibes takes shape. On the mic, Jym Lee sings and raps a dark and introspective freestyle in a hypnotic sing-song melody.
