Hot on the heels of his April release Road to Greatness, North Carolina-based composer PsychCloned (aka Gabriel Pureco) returns with a shot of prog-rock power. Regular readers of The Static Dive know Gabe well. We have followed his unique musical journey from the beginning.
Working with an international crew of virtuosos, Pureco composes cinematic instrumentals. His music ranges in style from introspective ambient moods to avant-garde freeform acid jazz freakouts, and everything in between. His latest pays homage to the rock & roll of his youth, including early-2000s alternative rock, progressive rock of the 1970s, and their modern day torch bearers.

“Evershine” is the brand new single from PsychCloned, released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 19, 2023. The track opens on a melodic jangly guitar alt-rock vibe. Bass, drums, and keys enter the mix as a solo guitar takes the lead. The piece gradually builds in intensity and complexity as the mellow instrumental ballad becomes an epic prog-rock tour-de-force that recalls a Farewell to Kings-era Rush.
