We first heard from GEM way back in 2020, upon the release of her single “If I’m Honest”. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to an award-winning DJ and producer. Originally from Australia and now based in Los Angeles, California, the multi-talented recording artist has been topping international charts and filling dancefloors since dropping her debut hit, a cover of the Hall & Oates pop/soul classic “Rich Girl”.
GEM has released a dozen singles, an EP, and a full length album of covers since that debut. Her music has been streamed tens of millions of times across multiple platforms. She was even named #2 female producer in the world title by Showbiz Magazine. On her latest single she reimagines a JP Saxe heartbreaker.
“The Few Things” is the brand new single from GEM, released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 31, 2023. Muted electric guitar arpeggios and ambient analog synths paint a dreamy and nostalgic scene. The singer steps to the mic and offers a soulful take on this hopeful yet cautious love story.
