Sun.Mansa is an emerging independent electronic music producer who made his solo professional recording debut in 2022 with the single “We Were Meant to Be”. That track introduced a genre-bending experimental composer with a taste for laid-back groove and soulful jazz vibes. He soon followed with a groundbreaking trilogy of albums.
In October 2022 the UK creator dropped the ten-track Sonic Recollections Prelude. A few months later in early 2023 he completed the set with the records Sonic Recollections Present and Sonic Recollections Future. Although he only recently began releasing his solo material, the prolific producer began making music as a teenager, recording songs in a makeshift studio with his brother and friends.
“Excellency” is the current single and third track from Sun.Mansa’s album Sonic Recollections Present, available worldwide via all major streaming services. Dreamy analog synths and plucky piano chords open the track. Soon the beat drops on a funky syncopated downtempo groove. It’s a beautiful melodic tune with a hypnotic clock-like meter.
