We last heard from LifeSpiral-MJR in February, upon the release of the single “Floral Rain“. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to celebrated guitarist and band leader, MJR. The award-winning composer and producer has been topping charts across Asia for more than a decade with his collaborative progressive rock project.
Since early 2022, LifeSpiral-MJR has connected with a global audience thanks to a string of popular international releases. On each recent release, the guitarist has teamed up with an impressive roster of international talent. Recent tracks have featured artists like J-pop singer Shihori and renowned composer and shamisen virtuoso, MOJI.
“Face Forward” is the brand new single from LifeSprial-MJR, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 6, 2023. MOJI once again joins MJR on the track, along with Japanese vocalist Asami and award-winning multi-instrumentalist Power Rangers score composer, Ron Wasserman. Ambient analog synths and a funky fusion bass open the track before the beat drops on a driving kick drum and a wall of power chords and metal riffs. The track builds to a melodic-metal anthem with soaring vocals and some impressive speed metal shredding.
