We first heard from Synthetik Blonde earlier this year upon the release of their single “Do You Wanna Know“. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to the multi-talented retro alt-pop/rock duo of Stefani Michele and Brad Evanochko. The multi-instrumentalist songwriting/production team have a synth-fueled, 80s-inspired genre-bending sound.
Synthetik Blonde debuted in 2020. Since then, the Canadian rockers have connected with fans around the world. They have released two dozen singles in that time, and last year dropped their full-length album Synthetik Love. This month they return with their sophomore LP release.
“Pieces” is the current single and title track of Synthetik Blonde’s brand new album, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 9, 2023. A driving drum machine beat opens the track as analog synths and electric guitar lay down a signature synthetik groove. On the mic, Stefani offers a dreamy meditation on a broken heart, as she searches for healing and growth.
