Pastor Weed Drops New Dancefloor Anthem

pastor weed

Pastor Weed is a veteran singer, songwriter, and producer. The Brooklyn-based rastaman has been dropping chilled reggae and dancehall vibes since the 1990s. Back in the day he had a record deal with Jive/RCA/Profile Records. However he soon became disillusioned by the politics of the music business and walked away to carve his own path as an independent musician.

The multitalented recording artist is also an ordained minister, author, and marijuana farmer. His sound is inspired by reggae and hip-hop icons like Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, and fellow Brooklynite, Boogie Down Productions mastermind KRS-One. Pastor Weed recently returned to the streaming world, dropping his first new music since 2016.

“Aye Aye” is the brand new single from Pastor Weed, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 15, 2023. A hypnotic synth riff introduces the track before the beat drops on an urgent Caribbean groove. The track is an infectious mix of reggae, soca, and hip-hop vibes. On the mic, the singer delivers a rousing melodic freestyle dance floor anthem.
