BJ54321 Drops New Tampa Love Trap

BJ54321

BJ54321 is the professional name of veteran hip-hop artist Stanton Benjamin Cooley Jr. He first started dropping mixtapes on his hometown of Tampa, back in 2014. Two years later the rapper made his solo professional recording debut with the single “Twerk Addict”. That track introduced a skilled emcee and producer with a sound built on old-school lyricism and new-school style.

Since then the prolific recording artist has produced a remarkable volume of work, including fourteen albums and a handful of singles. He has built a large fan base throughout Florida and has opened for superstar artists like Juvenile, Ace Hood, Rick Ross, GunPlay, Gucci Mane, Petey Gunz and DMX. In March, BJ54321 dropped his brand new 16-song collection, I Miss You.

“Hostage” is the latest single from I Miss You, available worldwide via all major streaming services. A melancholy minor-key electric guitar opens the track as the beat drops on a chilled downtempo trap groove. Ambient synths, syncopated 808 percussion, and hypnotic echoed vocals paint the periphery. On the mic, BJ54321 raps and sings a heartfelt hip-hop torch song.
