Joseph Rutakangwa is an emerging independent recording artist and producer who made his solo professional recording debut in 2020 with the single “You’re the Reason”. That track introduced a talented singer-songwriter with a multicultural, genre-bending sound. He writes heartfelt tales of life and love set to chilled pop, hip-hop, and afropop grooves.
When not in the studio, the Los Angeles, California based musician runs an international market research firm. Since his debut, the prolific producer has released nearly two dozen singles. His latest is already proving to be his most successful single to date.

As the track opens, a child sings the chorus as ethereal piano arpeggios ride a downtempo drill groove. Pizzicato strings and ambient synths paint the periphery, and a deep 808 bass holds down the floor. On the mic, Joseph sings a touching tale of love and devotion.
