mitchell is the professional name of emerging independent recording artist and producer, Mitch Green. He made his solo professional recording debut in 2021 with the four-song EP “cigarette sweats and wet dreams.” That record introduced a talented composer with a taste for chilled out lo-fi beats.
A native of Perth, Australia, mitchell got started with music during COVID. He used the unexpected downtime of repeated lockdowns and quarantines to teach himself music theory, and to play a number of instruments. He creates dreamy chillout downtempo instrumentals, inspired by cinematic soundtracks.
“You’re Gonna Be Okay I Promise And I Love You” is the current single from mitchell’s album “Whenever You’re Ready, available worldwide via all major streaming services. A melancholy and bluesy electric guitar opens the track. Ethereal vocals and ambient keys float on the periphery as the beat drops on a laid-back lo-fi boom-bap groove.
