Rippa is a veteran hip-hop artist from San Francisco, California. The multifaceted rapper, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur introduced his own independent Me Own Pockets record label in 2021. He is both the company’s CEO and its primary artist.
In just two years the prolific NorCal emcee and his production company have produced nearly three dozen releases, including thirty singles and the debut album Caution, released in early 2023. Although the label is new, it just the latest chapter in Rippa’s genre-bending musical journey which began when he was still in grade school, writing rhymes and dreaming of sharing his music with the world.
“Big Tippa” is the brand new single from Rippa and Me Own Pockets Entertainment, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 6, 2023. As the track opens, the beat drops on a low and slow 808 groove. A sampled minor-key riff guitar riff creates an ominous mood. On the mic, Rippa and featured rapper Curtisay take turns dropping freestyle braggadocio bars about a high-roller night out.
