The Antenna Tribe is the professional name of emerging independent electronic music producer, Sean Whalen. The Los Angeles-based composer debuted the project in 2021. Working with an international roster of singer-songwriters, he creates dreamy downtempo soundscapes featuring meditative moods and chilled trip-hop grooves.
Since their debut, The Antenna Tribe have released two EPs and a dozen singles. The Static Dive readers have followed the project since the release of the single “Two Hearts”. Whalen has connected with fans around the world with that song and other popular tracks like last year’s “Plain Sight (Not the Same Song)”.
“The Sound of a Spinning Planet” is the brand new single from The Antenna Tribe, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 30, 2023. The hypnotic pulse of a soft synth kick drum and syncopated hi-hat groove opens the track. Atmospheric keys slide into the mix and paint an expansive ambient scene. Frequent TAT collaborator, Silke steps to the mic and completes the lush soundscape. The duo creates a beautiful dream scene with her signature serene vocals and dreamy esoteric psychedelic poetry.
