Sky Keyz is the professional name of emerging independent recording artist, Darion Jackson. He made his solo professional recording debut in 2019. Back then he was known as Skyjax. However, a short time later he changed his name to reflect a new direction in his sound.
Originally from Tucson, Arizona, he now calls Tampa, Florida home. Since his debut as Sky Keyz he has released a dozen singles, as well as the full-length collaborative LP Our World with his friend Ty Keyz. His sound is a genre-fluid mix of pop hooks, alternative rock riffs, and hip-hop grooves. He has connected with fans around the world with popular tracks like “Wake Up” and last year’s “Blind”.
“Left Behind” is the brand new single from Sky Keyz, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 30, 2023. A minor key indie guitar opens the track as Darion steps to the mic, and the beat drops on a mid-tempo emo trap groove. Ambient synths and backing vocals paint the edges of the mix as the singer contemplates a retreat from all of the troubles in life in this introspective escape fantasy.
