Picabo is the professional name of independent pop, soul and jazz singer Georgie Henrietta Picabo Harrison. She is a seasoned live and session vocalist who works regularly throughout the UK. The singer is making her professional solo recording debut in 2023.
Based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire England, Picabo’s influences span the spectrum of female vocal soul. She cites iconic artists like pop songstress Meghan Trainor, UK r&b diva Jorja Smith, and the queen herself Aretha Franklin as inspiration for her soulful jazz style. For her debut single, the singer is branching out with a chill Ibiza vibe.
“Follow the Love ” is the debut single from Picabo, released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 5, 2023. The track opens on a dreamy vocal intro before the beat drops on a laid-back house groove, produced by Douglas McCauley and Phill O’shea from Autocharm. Keys, horns, syncopated organic percussion, and some chilled funk guitar lay down a cool retro disco vibe as the singer riffs on the title and paints the periphery with ethereal backing vocals.
