2RM_Keemosabe is an emerging independent hip-hop artist who made his solo debut in January with the single “Toxic Love”. The rapper first appeared on these pages in May upon the release of his single “No Holy Matrimony“. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to Jakeem Peoples, a multifaceted artist from Crestview, Florida.
In the six months since that first single, 2RM_Keemosabe has released a total of six solo tracks as well as collabs with his friends Luscious Immortal and Kvng Slur. His music is a cool mix of psychedelic moods and chill trap beats. Jakeem cites groundbreaking artists like Juice Wrld and Lil Peep as the primary inspiration for his sound.
“Don’t Be Scared” is the brand new single from 2RM_Keemosabe, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 5, 2023. A mellow guitar and deep 808 bass vibe opens the track. Soon the beat drops on a downtempo emo-trap groove and ethereal synths expand the horizon. On the mic, the rapper delivers a laid-back freestyle about life, love, and mental health.
