M of Mike is a veteran electronic music producer who made his solo professional recording debut in April with the release of his appropriately titled single, “The Beginning”. That track introduced a multifaceted artist from Madrid with a love for atmospheric and melodic moods. The lifelong musician comes to his new solo project with over two decades of experience.
Although this is his first commercially released solo work, the multi-instrumentalist composer’s musical journey began at an early age, when a young Mike became obsessed with the guitar and ultimately led a number of bands as the primary songwriter and lead guitarist. He worked for years in one of Madrid’s top studios before taking an extended hiatus to work as a photographer and computer programmer. The unexpected downtime of the pandemic brought him back to the studio.
“Forgotten Memories” is a new single from M of Mike, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 23, 2023. The track is the first of two singles from his forthcoming debut solo LP. Ethereal ambient synths introduce the track on a cloud. Soon the beat drops on a syncopated downtempo groove as hypnotic choral vocals reach into the stratosphere and synthwave vibes expand the horizon.
