PMPY is an emerging independent recording artist who made his solo debut in 2021 with the single “freedom2chill”. That track introduced a multi-talented and genre-bending electronic music producer from the Santa Cruz mountains. In his music, the eclectic composer brews a unique blend of organic and electronic elements.
Since his debut, the prolific producer has released ten singles, ranging in style from lo-fi to deep house, funk, and hip-hop. He has connected with fans worldwide on popular tracks like the smooth-jazz vibe “chris2fer”. His latest single is tailor made for lazy summer afternoons.
“Summer Smile” is the brand new single from PMPY, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 15, 2023. Lush synths open the track. Soon the beat drops on a laid-back downtempo trip-hop groove. Psychedelic keys and guitars echo on the periphery as featured vocalist Larianna delivers a dreamy ode to the summer sun. She sings “free your mind” and “give me that summer smile” as a simple piano arpeggio meters out an infectious melody while floating in an ambient cloud.
