The Guv is the professional name of accomplished singer, songwriter, and pianist Sahin Guvenilir. He made his solo professional debut in 2020 with the single “Waterlane Chronicles”. Working with his songwriting/producing partner and guitarist Burak Kahraman, the London-based musician creates genre-defying virtuosic rock.
Since his debut, The Guv has released nearly two dozen singles and connected with fans worldwide on popular tracks like “December in Istanbul” and “Tolkien’s Daydream”. Next week, the prolific musician will release his fifth single of 2023. “Nonindustrial Love” is the brand new single from The Guv, scheduled for worldwide release via all major streaming services on July 25, 2023.
The singer opens the track with an operatic piano/vocal soliloquy. Soon a full rock ensemble enters the mix and launches a cinematic rock anthem marked by lush multi-part vocal harmonies and complex melodic & rhythmic arrangements. It is a timeless art-rock vibe that lands stylistically somewhere between Queen and Frank Zappa. On the mic, The Guv delivers an arena-worthy performance as sings of the emotional complexities inherent to our modern world.
