Bedroom Dwellers is the new solo project from veteran independent songwriter and electronic music producer, Gabe Khofri. Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, Gabe now calls Oregon home. He made his solo professional recording debut in 2023. However, the multi-instrumentalist composer’s story began decades earlier.
The NorCal-native began making music as a teenager, first on piano and later the drums. That is also when he first started experimenting with digital audio production, recording his original compositions in his bedroom. That experience would years-later inspire his artist name. With influences from grunge to classical, he now creates a dreamy downtempo vibe.
“Surrender (just breathe)” is the debut single from Bedroom Dwellers, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 6, 2023. Atmospheric synths introduce the track as piano arpeggios dot the horizon. Soon the beat drops on the laid-back funk of an organic trip-hop groove. Ethereal vocals and guitar paint the periphery as the tune slides into a chilled ambient lo-fi vibe.
