Kickstand Jenny Debut With New LP

Kickstand Jenny is a new alternative rock group formed by a crew of rockers with impressive pedigrees. The Santa Rosa Beach, Florida based band is the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Preston Morelock. The Tennessee native was a veteran of numerous hard-rocking bands before moving to the Sunshine State.

Morelock is accompanied by a roster of rock & roll seasoned musicians. Frontman Scott Foster Harris began his music career in 2006 after sustaining an injury as a professional bull rider in Texas. He led the band Zen Rizing in Nashville before moving to Los Angeles to front legendary metal band L.A. Guns. Florida natives, bassist Chris Mcomas and drummer AJ Sipos make up the The Kickstand Jenny rhythm section.

Between the Lines is the debut album from Kickstand Jenny, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 9, 2023.  The ten-song collection was produced by legendary songwriter Chas Sandford (John Waite, Chicago, Stevie Nicks), and includes some high-profile features from the likes of vocalist Mark Slaughter (Slaughter) and drummer Jim Riley (Rascal Flatts). Three years in the making, the album is a showcase for the impressive and diverse talents of true industry pros.

From the power-chord LA-rocker “Love it or Leave It” to the swampy countrified blues of “Only Love Can Break Your Heart, Between the Lines is a guitar-fueled ride through the many moods of modern rock & roll. The band slows things down for power ballads like “Never Gonna Let You Go” and “Standing in the Doorway”. The group drops some big 90’s alternative vibes on upbeat rockers like “Solo” and the infectious anthem “Tonight”.

Anthemic tracks like the nostalgic “Take Me Back To The Time” and the U2-inspired “One More Day” are tailor-made for lighter-waving festival crowds. The band is fantastic throughout, serving heavy-metal thunder and infectious hooks with virtuosic chops. Their cover of the Stones classic “Jumping Jack Flash”  is a real treat. The band reinvents the track as a melancholy downtempo tune before taking it back to the Sunset Strip for the second half of the song.
