Los Angeles-based alternative recording artist, Anjalts first appeared on these pages over two years ago upon the release of her powerful climate-change anthem “Air to Fire“. That track introduced readers of The Static Dive to a deeply talented and genre-bending musician. A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, she composes, performs, and produces all her own music. Her sound is a mix of classic and modern alternative, electronic, and dark-pop vibes paired with emotional and socially conscious lyrics.
Since her 2020 debut, the prolific producer has released a voluminous body of work. After dropping a dozen singles, Anjalts released her debut album Air to Fire in February of this year. The entirely self-produced solo LP already has over a million streams on Spotify.
“Heaven Has Another Door” is the latest single from Anjalts, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 14, 2023. The song is a dreamy vibe built on elements of new wave, pop-punk, and downtempo electronica. As the track opens, dark ambient keys ride a lo-fi rock beat. Deep analog synths and alt-rock guitars enter the mix as the singer weaves a wistfully nostalgic tale. As the song progresses, the production builds to a cinematic darkwave mood.
