Rina B is an emerging singer, songwriter, and recording artist who made her professional solo recording debut in 2020 with the single “Choosy”. That track introduced a multi-talented singer, rapper, and lyricist whose musical journey began years earlier, when as a toddler in the DMV she would perform for her family, singing and dancing along to songs by Shakira, Rihanna, Mario, and Alicia Keys.
Now based in Miami, Florida, the bilingual Latina singer has quickly made a name for herself as a diversely talented, multicultural, multi-genre artist to watch. Since her debut, the prolific performer has released dozens of tracks including multiple EPs and features. Rina B is also an avid entrepreneur, and helps to empower other small business owners through her @theelevatedexp organization.
“Fire In My Eyes” is the brand new single from Rina B, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 21, 2023. The song opens on a nylon-stringed guitar plucking a soft melody. Soon the beat drops on a mellow reggaeton-infused pop groove. On the mic, Rina B sings an uplifting seize-the-day anthem. Sliding freely between English and Spanish, she calls us to put it all on the line, as we take to the dance floor.

8 Questions with Rina B

Where are you from?
I was born & raised in the DMV, metropolitan area but am now living in Miami. As a Latina, I’m proud to continue representing my roots & Salvadoran culture.
How long have you been making music?
As young as 3/4 years old, I can remember myself hearing a tune & humming it back. Music has always been a strong passion for me, I’ve always been in school choirs & bands but never did I expect that’d I’d evolve into an all around performing & recording artist. It wasn’t until the 2020 pandemic, that I was able to start writing music, recording songs, releasing them & performing them.
Who are the musicians involved in your project?
On this specific project, I wanted to expand my horizons in my new city of Miami & bring on a local artist who could help bring my vision to light. It’s a song about believing in yourself & embracing the current moment. When I wrote the concept & came up with my lyrics, I knew that @michaeljaayog could contribute to the record with his writing & marketing skill sets. I also recorded the song at a newfound Miami studio named Track House & had 24louud & Wynning entertainment support me in the beat making process.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
Over the years I’ve grown a strong love & passion for all genres of music. Ranging from hip hop, to EDM, trap music & even country. Something that has always stuck with me though, was the world of reggaeton & latin music. Shakira & Daddy Yankee are two artists that I’ve admired since I was a little girl & now at 25, I still see them releasing incredible music that fits in with new innovative sounds. With that, I can also say that artists like Alicia Keyes, Akon & Rihanna have had great influence for me in music but also in entrepreneurship & empowerment.
What is your greatest non-musical influence?
Outside of music, I have a strong calling for entrepreneurship, philanthropy & self- help work. Individuals like Tony Robbins & Gary Vaynerchuck have had a strong influence on my personal growth & business practices. Coming from an immigrant household, I’ve seen the adversities that many in the world have had to face. The tenacity & drive that my parents always had to push through, keep their faith strong- had a great influence on me & why I work so hard putting God & family first.
What inspired you to create this project?
My move to Miami was a big decision but it was the right decision. I felt it in my spirit to spread my wings- & although my family did not want me to leave home, I knew that it was time. I wrote this song for my fans & anyone out there who may be experiencing fear, change, doubt & growth. I want them to hear this record & know that they too can achieve anything they set their minds too. The song is fun, upbeat, Spanglish & filled with fun & motivating lyrics.
What are your plans for the future (musically)?
My goal is to tour on an international level, to perform in larger venues & someday arenas, to push positive & impactful music & leave a mark on people all over the world.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
To anyone who may be reading this- I want you to know that life can go up at any moment… & it can also go down. But keep your faith strong, work hard, be kind & love on those who love you no matter which side of the spectrum you’re on. Nothing is ever coincidental, & we can either break in the madness or come back a hero.
