Bo Bo is the professional name of emerging independent hip-hop artist, Robert Turnbow. He made his professional solo recording debut in 2020 with the single “Wave Runner”. That track introduced a talented and versatile rapper and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois with a verbose lyrical style and a genre-bending sound.
Since his debut, the prolific performer has produced five singles as well as the five-song 2021 EP Hear Yé Hear Yé. He has connected with hip-hop fans around the world on popular tracks like “PSA” and “Like That”. Last week he dropped his fourth new single of 2023.
“Unconditional” is the brand new single from Bo Bo, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 16, 2023. The track opens on a lo-fi sample of Faith Evans’ R&B classic “No Other Love”. Ambient piano chords float on the periphery as Bo Bo steps to the mic. Soon the beat drops on a minimal downtempo hip-hop beat as the rapper drops a heartfelt freestyle in honor of his mother.
