Benjamin Stranger is a veteran independent recording artist based in Nashville, Tennessee. The multi-disciplinary creator is a singer, songwriter, film director, screenwriter, and videographer. Nomadic by nature, he has lived and worked across the United States and toured Italy in 2022.
Since 2019, Benjamin Stranger has released a string of collaborative and solo releases. His sound is an experimental mix of lo-fi, indie, classic alternative, and pop. The singer is currently putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming LP Fare Thee Well, Follower, a concept album confronting A.I. driven social media culture.
“Misshapen Id – Twanas Remix” is the brand new single from Benjamin Stranger, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 23, 2023. The original track was released in December and is a collaboration with Stranger’s frequent songwriting partner, Trace Faulkner. It is one of two singles released so far from the new album.
Another friend and fellow Nashville musician, TWANAS has now taken the reins and has reimagined the original dark indie-pop nugget as a dreamy trip-hop vibe. Guest vocalist Bee Taylor opens the song, reciting the lyrics as an esoteric poem. Hypnotic backing vocals paint the periphery as the beat drops on an organic downtempo groove. Benjamin Stranger takes the mic and adds a bit of Prince-inspired soul to the dark pop meditation.
