Dan Ascanio is a veteran singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist producer who has been releasing heartfelt and authentic pop/rock originals since dropping his debut single “When You’re On Your Own” in 2010. The Pennsylvania-based musician finds inspiration in pop and rock hits of the 90’s and 2000’s. He pairs that vibe with a healthy dose of classic soul and some smooth Latin beats for a sound that is distinctly his own.
After a brief hiatus following his debut album, Ascanio returned to the international stage in 2018 with the single “Come and Gone”. He has since released a steady string of new material. In addition to his recorded work, Dan performs live through the Philadelphia region as the leader of the five-piece Dan Ascanio Band.
“Summer Love” is the brand new single from Dan Ascanio, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 28, 2023. An electric guitar plucks a percussive arpeggio rhythm as the singer steps to the mic. He delivers a dreamy and lighthearted tale of romantic summer fun as the beat drops on a mellow mid-tempo Caribbean groove. A catchy hook and some well placed harmonies add a smooth pop sheen to the chorus.
