Mou5ZyZZ is the professional moniker of veteran DJ, producer, drummer, guitarist, dancer, surfer, singer, and writer, Adrew Niman. For the better part of the last two decades, Niman has created a deep catalog of genre-bending electronic dance music. The lifelong musician’s sound is influenced by a broad range of musical styles, from screamo to trance.
Originally from Los Angeles, Andrew now calls Albuquerque, New Mexico home. He began ghost-producing in 2006. Shortly thereafter, the prolific producer began to release material as both Mou5ZyZZ and his alter-ego Mou5EmO. His message is all about positive vibes, liberation, and an uplifting spirit.
“Freedom” is the brand new collaboration from Mou5ZyZZ and emerging producer OMANYT, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 1, 2023. The track opens with some trippy futurism, in the form of a sampled Scarlett Johannsen monologue from the 2014 sci-fi flick “Lucy”. Psychedelic analog synths spin on the periphery as the beat lands on an up-tempo, hardstyle house groove.
Elements of synthwave, dubstep, and tech house paint the edges of the mix as Mou5ZyZZ drops some Old Testament reggae on this epic 7:34 jam. Sampled from the 2018 Jauz & Tisoki hit “Babylon”, the lyrics lament the inequity of wealth and freedom in our modern materialistic world. However, it is a celebratory vibe as the track launches into its stratospheric third act.
