Keen Garrity is the professional name of emerging independent recording artist, Rebekah Burchfield. She made her professional solo recording debut in 2021 with the album “Get Big”. That record introduced a uniquely talented singer, songwriter, and producer with deep country roots who specializes in storybook pop-rock.
The Tennessee native writes dark allegorical tales populated by mystical creatures and humans of sometimes questionable motives. She is a music industry legacy whose grandfather and great uncle recorded for Capitol Records as Capital Americana as the The Burchfield Brothers, and her father played fiddle for local television shows in her hometown of Knoxville. When not crafting mysterious Americana motifs, Rebekah co-writes, produces, and performs in the audio comedy series Curdle Holler.
“Buck Moon” is the brand new single from Keen Garrity, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 3, 2023. A Nashville ensemble opens the track with a classic country shuffle. A bluesy electric guitar paints the edges of the mix to complete the noir Americana soundscape. On the mic, the singer steps to a dreamy metaphysical torch song. She yearns for her lover across the cosmos, painting the scene with a poetic palette of astrophysics, Eastern philosophy, and Native American imagery.
