KRSTL is an emerging independent singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist producer making her debut in 2023. However, her new music is simply the latest step in her musical journey that began years ago. From high school musicals to the quiet solitude of songwriting, music has always been central in the young artist’s life.
Originally from Adelaide, Australia, KRSTL now calls Melbourne home. She recently dropped her first single and is planning to release an EP by the end of the year. The unexpected downtime of the pandemic was the catalyst for the singer’s rekindled interest in music production. She began recording her original songs during two years of COVID lockdowns in her home country.
“Glass” is the brand new single from KRSTL, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 12, 2023. Deep ambient synths open the track. Soon the beat drops on a hypnotic percussive downtempo groove, built on elements of darkwave, synthwave, and trip-hop. On the mic, the singer offers a wistful look back at better days, and a psychedelic meditation on the fleeting nature of time.
