Marley marcus is an emerging independent hip-hop artist who made his solo professional recording debut in 2021 with the single “Pills (Birth of an Era)”. That track introduced a talented emcee and songwriter with a genre-fluid style and a unique flow. He cites legendary storytelling rapper The Notorious B.I.G as a major influence on his sound.
Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Marley marcus now calls Gothenburg, Sweden, home. He started rapping at a young age, and began to pursue music seriously while attending high school in Kungsbacka. Since his debut, the prolific rapper has released nine singles. He has connected with fans around the world thanks to hits like last year’s “Moet”.

Hypnotic muted percussive synth arpeggios open the track as the rapper steps to the mic for a chill tale about a night out, meeting ladies and spending money in the club. Guest vocalist Fillip Williams adds some smooth falsetto soul to the mix as the beat lands on a chill downtempo old-school funk.
