J.D. Koon and her husband S.E. are a dynamic and eclectic team. After decades of working in the corporate world, the duo recently redirected their energies toward creative endeavors, Their latest project is a multivolume, multimedia affair.
After Service is the new series of romance novels by J.D. Koon. The books follow the personal struggles and romantic achievements of a former special forces soldier. So far the Koon’s have published two titles in the collection. In August, they launched a new series of music video and single releases to correspond with the novels.
“Dark Secret” is the brand new single from J.D. Koon, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 15, 2023. The song is inspired by a novel of the same name. As the track opens, the beat lands on a live soft-rock ensemble of bass, drums, guitar and keys, laying down a mellow 70’s-inspired Laurel Canyon groove. On the mic, a female vocalist tells the tale of a complex affair, a secret love child, and the realization that the singer needs to come clean to the child’s father.
