We first heard from LAZORE in August upon the release of the single “Break Slowly“. That track introduced readers of The Static Dive to singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist producer Mike Lazore. The New York-native rocker dropped his debut solo EP earlier this year.
Since his debut, Mike has connected with fans around the world with a string of popular songs like “Wanted Man” and “Just Another Day”. Specializing in guitar-driven modern alternative rock anthems, he writes deeply personal narratives that explore themes of identity, self-doubt, and ambition. With each new release he further expands the parameters of his sound.
“On My Own” is the brand new single from LAZORE, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 6, 2023. The track opens on a downtempo reggae groove as Mike steps to the mic for an introspective relationship post-mortem. Power chords drop some grunge on the chorus before the bridge takes a brief detour into a bit of prog-rock acoustic and electric picking.
