Myles Hildebrand is a veteran singer, songwriter, and bandleader from Linden, Manitoba. By day, he directs nuclear fusion strategic partnerships. In his offtime, the Canadian guitar virtuoso writes and records classic rock-inspired, genre-fluid love songs with his band Myles from Home.
The band has released three singles since making their wide-distribution debut in 2021 with the psychedelic folk/rock Gnarfunkel collab “Full Flower Moon”. Last year they continued that buzz with the alt-country infused rocker ‘A Million Monkeys’. The Myles from Home sound is a cool mix of rock energy, pop hooks, jazz licks, and positive vibes.
“Nearest Star” is the brand new single by Myles from Home, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 21, 2023. The track opens on groovy yacht-rock guitar riff before the beat lands on a chilled but funky jazz-infused folk/rock groove. A solo trumpet adds a bit of Tijuana brass as Myles delivers his dreamy torch song in a smooth alt-pop tenor. As the song progresses, the mood builds from quiet introspection to an uplifting cinematic conclusion.
