We first heard from Duvee Davis in November of last year upon the release of his single “Glue“. That track introduced readers of The Static Dive to a multi-talented international singer, songwriter, and producer. He’s been a soldier, a boxer, and now a single father making a living as an independent musician overseas.
Originally from Connecticut, Duvee Davis has traveled the world. In his early days he lived in cities throughout the Northeast. As a young boxer he won 150 amateur fights and the national PAL title, before eventually joining the service and serving in the Iraq War.
Five years ago Davis moved to Bangkok, Thailand to focus on his music. Since his 2020 solo debut, the prolific producer has released 40 singles, including nearly two dozen so far this year. Four months ago he relocated to the Philippines to work as a full time content creator.
“Gone” is the brand new single from Duvee Davis, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 21, 2023. The track opens on a funky lo-fi boom-bap beat. Classic soul samples slide into the mix as the rapper steps to the mic. He delivers a no-holds-barred freestyle about the regret of missed opportunities.
