Jimmy Vollert is a multi-talented independent recording artist from Long Island, New York. He is a veteran of numerous Northeast bands, and is a current active member of the psychedelic rock troupe Caveman Experiment, and the grunge band Rats! He made his solo professional recording debut in 2020 with the single “Dead Man Standing”.
Since his debut, the prolific producer has amassed an impressive volume of work. In just three years he has released two albums, three EPs, and nearly a dozen singles. His sound is a genre-fluid mix of styles from country to metal, and everything in between.
“Addicted to You” is the latest single from Jimmy Vollert, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 18, 2023. The song opens on a Celtic-tinged Americana mood. A loose indie-folk/rock orchestra lays down some Tom Waits vibes as Jimmy delivers his melodic love song. Soon the mix hits a massive wall of guitars, bringing to mind metal and punk fueled alt-pop/rock pioneers like Hüsker Dü and School of Fish.
