H2SO4 is the professional name of veteran songwriting duo, James Butler and Graham Cupples. For more than two decades, they have produced a deep catalog of genre-bending bangers. In that time their music has been featured on high-profile HBO television productions, gaining international radio play, and they have connected with fans around the world on underground club hits like “Outsiders’ ‘ and last year’s “White Light”.
Since their debut in 2000, the prolific producers have amassed an impressive volume of work including four albums and over two dozen singles. Most of that work has come in the past years, since H2SO4 returned to the studio after a four-year hiatus. This year alone they have dropped five singles and the full-length LP Black & White
“Bad Habits” is the brand new single from H2SO4, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 8, 2023. Percussive staccato synth chords open the track. A grungy fuzz-tone guitar doubles the keyboard riff as beat drops on a driving downtempo four-on-floor beat and the singer steps to the mic with a tale of an irresistible bad influence. In the chorus the track transforms into a hyperpop-infused dubstep banger.
