Rock This Off is the brand new collaborative rock & roll project from Amsterdam Olympic Records. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember Fool of Glass, their earlier foray into dark dream-pop. Their new band takes us on a sonic journey to the heyday of classic rock radio.
With producer/songwriter Michiel Mulder at the board, the crew at Amsterdam Olympic Records works with an international collective of musicians to bring their creations to life. Rock This Off features Dutch guitar virtuoso Cis Kroezen, Naman Sachdev on drums, Jordi Castella on piano, and Natalia Nekare (The Voice, Argentina) on vocals. Dutch novelist Rebekka Bremmer penned the lyrics for their powerful debut single.
“Leave Me” is the brand new single from Rock This Off, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 20, 2023. Kroezen opens the tune on a mellow note as Nekare steps to the mic with a heartbreaking warning for her lover. As the song progresses the track builds to an arena-worthy emotional prog-rock power ballad, featuring an anthemic guitar solo.
